If she cant stay with you and has absolutely no where else to go, she needs to go to the welfare office. She might think its "embarrassing" or "degrading" or "unnecessary", but guess whats REALLY embarrassing, degrading, and unnecessary? Being beaten by your husband and actually STAYING with the loser. I dont know how it works in your state, but Im pretty sure you guys should have this there too: I live in California, and every person gets this once in their lifetime: You go to the welfare office tell them your situation and that your about to be homeless, and they let you pick any hotel of your choice, and they pay for it every night and every day for 30 days. In that time, you need to find a job. They do this so that you dont have to be homeless while in this situation and looking for work. Once youve found a job and a place, they will raise your cash aid and I would also reccomend her getting an EBT card as well (food stamps) so that she can pay for her and her childrens food. In CA, anyone over the age of 16 who is a person of one (aka not married and no kids) will recieve $200 per month on their EBT card for food, and $200 per month for cash aid, and thats just the minimum. Since shes an adult with two children, she should recieve $400 for food and $400 for cash aid. And once she has rent to pay, they will will give her even more cash aid. Trust me, at first she might feel crappy for having to do this, but its wonderful and it helps so much. My mom had to do this to get away from my dad, and it saved her life. I know that you dont live in CA, but government aid is pretty much the same in every state and those are good estimates of what she will be recieving. She has to do this, it will save her life, give her back her life, her pride, her dignity, and her happiness. I will pray for her that she gets out of this situation with him and I hope everything works out for the best. Good luck friend :)

Somebody call 911!!!! And idk she can apply for section 8 where they give u an apartment and u only have to pay like $40 a month.... or she can just get help formo the gov.
Imo being homeless is better then being in this abusive home.....
Btw doesnt she have parents or anything? Maybe they can take of the kids when the mom is finds a job and works... or she can work when skool starts while her kids r in skool she can b at work.

I just Googled "minnesota battered women's home" and dozens of resources came up. Look through them until you find a place near where she lives then help her get out. These places will let her bring her kids too, and they will keep her location a secret so her husband can't stalk her down and hurt her more. They provide counseling and resources and a temporary home until she can get a job and a place of her own.
