Following his baptism Jesus devoted his life to doing the will of Jehovah, John 5:30 reads, ''I cannot do a single thing of my own initiative; just as I hear I judge; and the judgement that I render is righteous, because I seek not my will, but the will of him that sent me.''
Speaking to Pilate Jesus said as recorded in John 18:37 :- ''. . . For this I have been born and for this I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone that is on the side of the truth listens to my voice.'' Having been given authority [Mt 28:18] he commanded us as recorded in Mathew 28:19, 20. We can see from Jesus life on earth that preaching and teaching the 'Good News'' was his focus and it still is; this work will continue ever more urgently as the end draws nearer day by day until the harvest is complete. Then think on this, countless millions of resurrected ones will need teaching, so we should make use of all the training Jehovah provides, such as the ministry school. As you are dedicated [WELCOME to the FAMILY], have you thought of reaching out for the pioneer service? building your ministry up till you can reach the target of full time service is a brilliant goal if you can; but as it says in para 15, page 23 of June 15. 2012 WT,
(in tomorrows study article), if you can say each day: ''Jehovah, I did everything I could in your service.'' That's what matters. Agape

It is interesting when most faiths will say "He came to earth to sacrifice for our sins".
Which focus do you think is more his Father's benefit?
Preaching about his Kingdom
OR
Being a sacrifice for our sins
Jesus always encouraged us to "Seek the Kingdom first". No doubt he did the same. As stated in another answer he said: "For this I was born to bear witness to the truth".
That was his #1 priority - do the work of his Father and sanctify his name. What were the first instructions on how we were to pray? Was it not to lead us into temptation? No. It was to santify his name and for his Kingdom to come. However, Jehovah is not selfish. He want all of us to benefit from the Kingdom that Jesus witnessed to others about. So he also layed his life down so we can become reconciled to God so we can benefit. We would not have been able to benefit otherwise.
Thanks for that question.

That is exactly so and timely for us today.
It is sad to say that many churches do not even understand the impact of Christ's Kingdom (Government). They think that all they need to do is give food and shelter to the homeless. They think that if they hold up in their churches, waiting for others to visit on Sunday, that is the end of their assignment by God, how traggic that they are that blinded!
I will leave you 2 Scriptures with CAPS for emphasis:
Mt. 24:14 And this good news of the kingdom will be PREACH in ALL the inhabited EARTH for a WITNESS to all the nations; and THEN the END will COME.
Mt. 28:19, 20 GO therefore and make DISCIPLES of people of ALL the nations, BAPTIZING them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, TEACHING them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days UNTIL the CONCLUSION of the system of things.”

Absolutely. Specifically, that the Kingdom of God is *at hand*. Which is to say, it is 'available now for people to take part in,' not that it's 'coming sometime soon.'
The Kindom is where God's will is being done, and involves God working through those who wish to do his will, enabling them to become as Jesus describes in the Sermon on the Mount. Seeing this moral transformation occur in Christ's followers, and seeing the goodness of Christ reflected through them, others are lead to abandon their futile ways of living (repent) and enter into the Kingdom to take on Christ's character for themselves. Dallas Willard calls this enterprise the "Divine Conspiracy"

The first prophecy recorded in the Bible is at Gen 3:15) And I shall put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed. He will bruise you in the head and you will bruise him in the heel.” (NWT)
Same verse but with the King James) And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
The promised seed is the only begotten Son of the true God Jehovah and Satan's seed is his kingdom that is now the world of mankind(1 John 5:19) We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the [power of the] wicked one.(NWT)- (NASB) We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.
So what Jesus did was start establishing Gods Kingdom rule here on earth(Daniel 2:44) “And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite;
Jesus kicked Satan and his demons out of heaven and firm;y established God's Kingdom in heaven and when he comes he will abyss Satan for a thousand years and put an end too false religion(the mother of harlots Babylon the Great), world governments(the 10 horned 7 headed wild beast) and all wickedness.
All who stubbornly cling to these 3 elements will be destroyed right along with them(Rev 18:4), this is called in scripture Armageddon. There will be survivors tribulations-(wind of destruction) as Rev 7:9,14 point out.
The Bible's main theme is the up and coming Kingdom of God ruled by his firstborn of creation Jesus Christ and his bride class of 144,000 known as the "Little Flock"!

Luke 4:43. "But he said to them, " also to other cities I must declare the good news of the Kingdom of God, because for this I was sent forth".

No Jesus' main focus was to lay down his life to pay for the sins of those who will believe on his name and will show, by their actions, they truly believe. By having Faith in him and Repenting of all their sins and by being Baptized by one having the authority of the Apostles and then by receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, by the laying of of hands by one holding the same authority as the Apostles. All the other things he did were appendages leading up to this main focus.
