c - reactive protein levels?

I have found quite differing comments online on what a high level of C-Reactive protein is.

My last blood test came in at 10.8 mg/L and was told this is "HIGH", that it should be under 8.0 mg/L

I am male in my 40's.

Anyone know if the above is correct?

severe stages of c-reactive protein advise severe stages of inflammation. that's straight forward in lupus... yet in addition in, as an occasion, Graves' illness. Or rheumatoid arthritis. Or sarcoidosis. it incredibly isn't any longer adequate to diagnose lupus, yet might advise that lupus is lots extra probably.
