SSI is for minor children when a parent is deceased or the child is disabled. Your mother would not have any SSI if she didnt have children.
You should get rid of the cable service and get a converter box and a few channels since your family is not able to pay their bills.
If you are in the Marines you dont get SSI. You already work for the government.

The Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program pays benefits to disabled adults and children who have limited income and resources.
The Social Security Administration manages the SSI program. Even though Social Security manages the program, SSI is not paid for by Social Security taxes. SSI is paid for by U.S. Treasury general funds, not the Social Security trust funds.

You're 18, you can't get SSI as your mom's dependent.
You don't qualify for social security income, which is different by the way from SSI which is a welfare-type payment from the federal government.
Unless you are disabled, you can't get SSI.

at 18 you are still a dependent of your mother and her SSI should be enough to provide for minor children
if you have enlisted in the Marine Corps you will soon be out of the household
