Using Ipads in Darwin, NT?

Hi,

I will be moving to Darwin very soon from the UK, and am considering buying an Ipad to use there. I am wondering whether anyone else has experience of using Ipads there and whether connections are fast. Do you need to also buy a separate internet connection with this, or do you get this automatically when you have an Ipad?

Thanks!

Apparently, the internet in NT isn't too good.

You also have option to buy an ipad upfront, and connect the internet separately.

I'm from the UK and live in Darwin too. It depends what iPad you buy. Wifi or wifi and 3G.

With just wifi you would have to connect to an Internet connection. Either you're own, a local hotspot, cafe etc..

With 3G you can get a plan with a company telephone company for 3G Internet on the move.

If you go for 3G, I'd seriously recommend Telstra for the Nortern Territory. Well for the whole of Australia really.

Have a little look at that :)
