Left or Right Traffic After the First Landing?
Say I'm inbound for pattern work at an airport whose standard pattern is to make right traffic for 31. If the tower gives me instructions to enter left traffic ONLY BECAUSE OF THE DIRECTION I'M COMING FROM after the first touch and go do I resume the typical right traffic pattern or enter left traffic again if they haven't told me anything?
Thanks!!

Well you would enter Left traffic as directed by ATC but after the Touch and go you would normally stick with the normal traffic (Left) but wouldn't hurt to ask. I take it the Tower gave you Right traffic because it would be easier for you rather than overflying the A/P or going all the way around.

If tower tells you to make left traffic, then make left traffic. If they want you to then make right traffic then they should be telling you when they give you your T/G clearance, ie, "cleared for the option, make right traffic/ right crosswind, etc...". If at any time you need clarification about their instructions you should be asking them.
