How much is the minimum electric bill in the Philippines?

I just want to know if we're not being ripped-off by our local electric company. It's a typical 2-storey house (for rent) with 2 bedrooms and 1 C.R. but with no inhabitants for more than a month. In short, no electric usage.

Thanks in advance!

Update:

MERALCO states that 50KwH is Php366.00. What if it's below 50KwH?

Different Company on Different Islands are different......the house here behind us is unoccupied for a long time (the renter is in Canada) My wife paid his bill when she paid ours (asked by the Land Lord) and his bill is 5 pesos per month but we have V.E.C.O. (In Cebu).

If there is electrical appliances plugged up in the house there is probably some leakage which would cost you......if the house is empty have you told the ELECTRIC company..? other wise you could be being robbed by neighbors with extensions (VERY COMMON).

Hope some of this info helps.....

What "Worf" says is true. Now you said nobody their for a month but what happens if the billing cycle starts 1 week before they leave? It could result in the bill you got. Contact the electric co to see what the min rate is as that varies. My place with 2 bedrooms runs about P750 per month.

Our house stands on a 500 sq.m. and has two storeys. In first floor, we have 2 CRs, 3 living rooms (apart), a big prayer room, kitchen, and dining room. In second floor, we have five bedrooms, 1 CR and a veranda where we have our videoke trips. We have many appliances especially in bedroom, living rooms and kitchen. Our monthly due is always changing but it's from 500-900.

PS: We are a big family.

It would depend on also how much electricity you use, I would say P2,000 per month at least.

it should have been more helpful if you've told us your location... kilowatt per hour depends on your location... if you live in city, it is quite bigger.
