I just turned 15 and im 6'2 and 140 pounds. I eat like no other, lift on and off and take in quite a bit of protein and eat pretty healthy all around. Why why why am i so skinny? I have muscle i am not frail but im still kinda awkward looking. I mean obviously its partyl because i havent filled out but my overall weight is kinda low?

High metabolism, you're eating a lot of protein, but you need to up your carbs also. Once you get older, if you put on weight, you'll need to up your protein and cut your carbs down.

whoa, 6'2, and I thought I was tall! lol but in all seriousness, have you talked to your doctor about the topic of weight gain? you might still be at a healthy weight, but if you want to loose the "too skinny" look, you can easily just increase your daily calorie intake, not by eating unhealthy or fatty foods, but have foods that are prepared by baking or poaching. Try to eat six times a day, like little mini-meals between breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Try exercises that will build muscle, like weight lifting, yoga. Some awesome foods to eat are pasta, whole grain, bagels, nuts, and many vitamins and nutrients. You can tell if you actually NEED to gain weight by observing these things- if your BMI is below 120, if you are affected by the weather a lot (as in you very easily become too hot or too cold), or you get sick very easily. If this does not describe you, then you are still healthy, so your weight is not a health issue. however, if you are still unhappy with your appearance, then it's perfectly fine to try to gain more weight. if this DOES describe you, then definitely talk to your doctor! they will help in the best way possible :)

dude im 6"0 120 lb. and im 15 too, thought im still growing, dont try to gain wait, i would say be happy for being skinny, i know i am. but its hard to gain wait because you have a fast metabolism, exactly the same thing i have. If you dont know what metabolism is, it is the speed in which your body converts food into nutrients. around the age of 20 and up your metabolism starts slowing down. i you wana gain weight i would suggest gaining wait in muscle, you wont look as frail as you think you look.

I am on the same boat. I am 14 ,4'10 and 75lbs. I asked my doctor what type of pill I could take and he said 'Do you know how many people walk through that door and ask for a pill to loose weight? You have a gift: To eat all of the glorious foods in the world and not gain a pound!' I guess it will go away one day eventually though. You just have to wait.
