True love with a first cousin ?
a while back when I was a teenager I used to hang out with my first cousin , she was 2 years younger than me but we got along great , I have never seen her before and I met her when I moved to Cali .
We used to hang out a lot , drive around , talk , there was obvious sexual attraction as well , she really left the door open a couple of times for me to try to kiss her but I did not made the move , obviously I was troubled with would my family and society would think.
we held hands and hugged but never did anything , I was truly mesmerized by her and I though about her all the time , time went by and I moved away and she got a boyfriend and eventually got married .
I moved away and that was it , but I still have dreams about her and I having sex , kissing whatever , it has been 15 years or so , and I have not felt this way about anyone else again .
Sometimes when I talk to her I feel those "butterflies in the stomach" feeling.
She is divorced now and has said she would like to see me again.
Why oh why does god punish me like this , I have tried to fall in love with other people and I can't .
What can I do ?

well mist
why not see her she may have changed as you must have done.
yes i do remember a similar situation which happened to me whilst married. a cousin came to stay with my parents for a week. she had a room of her own with my parents. something she never had before.
as she shared it with my uncles new wife's daughter.
we met out as family several times during that week. my mother was always a bit of a prude although as they say she talked the talk but didn't walk the walk.
so i kept my distance like you.
well some years went by and we visited my uncle and his new wife. the cousin and her new husband came to visit. well she made a real fuss over me and sat at my feet all night long.
she kept stroking me sometimes when the others where engaged in other activities in what can only be described as the MALE area. so she was hot to trot, but i think it was all a tease.
knowing full well it was not going to happen.
well i visited her and her husband in a couple of days. he was not keen to see me but was communicating alright. she was in the kitchen when i went in with the boys as they where building a shed out in the garden. they had a cup of tea and left and i wish i had gone with them.
she launched herself at me in full flow boy was she wound up like a spring.
started to undress in front of me. so i called a stop to it all then and there and left shortly afterwards.
best advice make sure you have an exit plan arranged just in case there is another man in her life.

Apparently, this is not illegal, although many people think it is.
And the mathematical chance of any birth defect with any two
people is about 3%, so with people closely related, this would
make your chances of something like this about 6%- of course
this increases with age (eg, such as Downs). Also, the good
genetics would be increased, if children are a consideration.
And here is a famous example
Greta Scacchi
Do you have the sort of parents that you can discuss this with?
Maybe you want to explore this as with a therapist?
At any rate, you are not the first, and you wont' be the last.

Dude just let it go. It's all kinds of wrong. Even if there is no law against it, the blood is just too close for anyone in the family to be o.k. with it. Even if you don't have anything but a brief fling, you are going to be left with the feeling that you just slept with your sister(or something like that), and that is really why neither of you have ever acted on these "feelings".
