Am I really THAT unimportant?

Him and I used to work together. Then I left to another location. I offered my help with some stuff he had to do. So he said to call him. I call him and he is on his way to get food. So we start talking and as he is talking to me, he is ordering food. My every other word is interrupted with him talking to the person taking his order. Then the order was done and he started chatting with that person ad he picked up the order. Then he starts driving. Then he gets home and says he has to go.

I thought it was rude. I mean if you want to talk to me, then at least dedicate a quiet 20 min to talk to me. He is getting other things done while talking to me and I felt like I was just another thing on his checklist or something. I felt like i wasn't given undivided attention.

Am I wrong to think like that? Was that rude on his part?

Update:

No, I didn't call him just because. He asked me to call him through a text and I called him righr when he asked. Why ask me to call him when he is in the middle of doing something?

    Wait.

You called someone. You found out he is in the middle of something. Yet you expected him to drop what he was doing and give you undivided attention.

You're not unimportant. You are self-important.
