How can I lose 2 pounds a week?

I'm 16 years old, 5'1" and weigh about 260 pounds...so obviously I need to lose weight. My goal is to lose 100 pounds in a year, which is about 2 pounds a week. What I want to know is if it's possible and safe/healthy. If it's possible, I'd really like to know what you'd recommend. I'm going to school online this year, and I want to be at a good weight when go to regular school for senior year.

And I really don't need people to be making fun of me, so please don't. I'm here looking for help, not criticism or bullying. Thanks :)

    Eat a calorie deficient of 1000 calories

    Meaning eat 1000 calorie lessx 7 days = 7000 calories divided by 3500= 2 pounds

    So eat 1000 calories less and every week you'll lose 2 pounds plus execute you could lose 5-6 pounds good luck :)

    well, when losing weight you need to consider your level of physical activity and your diet. You should have at least 1 hour of physical activity each day; some ideas include a brisk walk, a work out at the gym, jog/run, or my personal favorite- wourkout videos-they are fast and very effective with quick noticable results!

    Also, you need to clean up your diet. keep in mind that 1 lbs = 3500 calories, therefore 2 lbs = 7000 calories. what this means is that in order to lose 2 lbs every week you must consume 7000 calories less then you normally eat in a week. So you must eat 1000 calories less everyday.

    Say you eat 4000 calories each day, now you can only eat 3000 everyday (keep in mind suggested calories for your age is between 1600 and 2200)

    i know it sound like a lot of work but trust me u feel so much better bout yourself :) good luck!!

    2 pounds a week sounds healthy to me, but I'm letting you know now that it takes SERIOUS dedication. You can't treat yourself often, and you can't binge eat. There are only two ways to lose weight, keep it off, and be healthy or a lifetime. You must eat healthy and exercise. Cut out those fatty, salty, and sugary food and drinks. Opt for whole grains, vegetables, lean meat, nuts, lentils, fruits, and low calorie, low sodium, low sugar foods. Cut down on packaged foods, but when you must eat them, choose ones with the simplest ingredient list. Stop eating frozen foods that have lots of preservatives and sodium. Make healthy food with wholesome ingredients, like whole grain pasta, vegetables, and grilled chicken. Eat less fast food and go out to restaurants less. When you do eat out, skip appetizers and dessert, choose water instead of sodas and juices, and eat meals with the least amount of calories, sodium, and fat. Choose grilled chicken instead of breaded, plain baked potato instead of fries. Exercise is a major factor also. Work out more often. Play outside. Instead of watching TV and going on the computer, play some soccer. Join community club sports. Get a gym membership. Swim in a friend's pool, a public pool, or at a near by beach. Walk up the stairs several times. Run around any open area in your home. If possible, buy a treadmill, elliptical, or rowing machine. Try to exercise for 60 minutes a day. I promise you, if you eat right and exercise daily, you will see a difference in your weight and health. I hope I could help :)

    Hey! very good for you! At least you know you need to lose weight and you're trying and youre lookin6 for help, (: . I too remember I used to weight before 230 pounds at 5'6 that was one year ago and I just started out by walking for 30 mins daily and eating healthier, like I would eat ALOT! Example I woukd had eggs and bacon and two tortillas in the morning, then chips at school and lunch at school and I woukd come home and eat a maruchan soup and at night I would eat heavy stuff. I would eat like 6,000 calories a day im guessing or more!:/ really bad!.but after I decided to lose weight after because I looked and felt unhappy with my body and myself in general .but okay I started off by walking 30 mins daily and eating salads and fruits and alot of chicken!! , I would eat a hamburger and fries one day a week, and have a bar of chocolate occasionally. But that was it, then I stared increasing my walking by jogging for 3 mins ,walking 3 mins and jogging again for 4 mins and walking 2 mins andyeah...each week I would increase my speed and by month 3 I strted jogging for full 30 mins without stopping. Thats how I lost 35 pounds in 4 months. It felt so good!!.. You can do this too, start by walking and when you feel u can jog just doit you will see yourself running in the future:) . I gotta say is not 2 that hard losing weight , you just need will, and commitment. I gotta say stay away from,sodas and drink only and alot alot of water , I drink 3 liters of water everyday , and maybe one soda a month, but if you can just dont drink it at all. I think 80% person is to eat healthy ,and 20% working out, to lose weight. This is the best way. Xoxo and good luck you can do this!!:D i5 anybody can than you can!!, btw I had motivation from my sister, you need motivation, fnd motivation talk to you're mom, or close friends they give it to you(;
