Will Sears replace misused Craftsman screwdrivers?
I know what your thinking...your thinking why not just take them back and see. I'm not gonna take my chances because my closest Sears is 50 miles. Plus the 50 miles back. Bought the set back in 2002 or 03. Philips ones are fine but over the years the flat heads got used to pry with. NO not me, I know better. Family and friends that don't know how to use tools. Anyways, I know that Sears will replace any Craftsman hand tool that breaks. Just don't know if they will replace misused ones. You can clearly tell that they were misused. No I am not gonna tell them that they were, but anyone with brains could tell. There is about 4 or 5 that need replacing. Thanks

if you're referring to the blade being chipped or bent, yup! if the shaft itself is bent, that might be grounds to refuse. too blatant of abuse. depends on the service mgr at that point.
i've never had an issue. used as a chisel or a pry bar (at the tip) even with that obvious miss use.
you can get grungy ones from pawn shops or garage sales. take 'em in and get equal or better ones.
i've heard from some, that they now want receipts. but as of last month, i haven't run into that. the honored some of my fathers old stuff.
they aren't stupid, but they have one heckle of a return policy. that's why i use them.

Next time your heading to Sears give it a shot. Just tell them the truth and be honest. Let them
know that they were unable to perform extrordianary requirements and smile.
or,
use them as stocking stuffers this holiday season and purchase yourself a brand new $ 19.99 set.
I've never been turned down by my sears. Only on one very old torque wrench but the things I've
returned to the tools department well makes up for it. Show them your Sears Card too ( if you
have one), and how many loyal years as a customer you've been.
Good Luck

They should, I've never had any problem at all, and took many Craftsman tools back. The only problem is that they may not have the same sizes in stock at the store, other than that you should not have a problem. They warranty their tools very well.

Craftsman has lifetime warranty on any tool. So most likely yeah. BUT if u don't want to take your chances since you r so far, y don't u call them n explain to them ur issue n let them tell u if they will or not? That way Ull know for sure regardless of all our opinions.
