Hello
West and East of Europe, since those terms were invented by Greeks and Latins. Occidens and Oriens in Latin.
Who said "By british", as these words are english ? They obviously have a translation in French, Spanish, German...
Also, there is no country in America either that is formally called "America". The United States of America refer to the name of the continent..
Europe, Asia, Africa are names given by the Latin. Why ???
Hope it helps
Bye !

Europeans. Because these terms are English one can say, the British.
If Maya civilisation has taken over the globe in stead of the Europeans, followed it up with Ocean explorations, they would have termed Europe as the East and China in the west, with Australia in the South West.
