Since I am in my 50s and I am an atheist and every atheist I know has NOT changed their views, this question is the work of ignorance

Wont happen to me for sure.
I think its wrong. The reason we are atheist is because we havent been brainwashed as kids. You havent beenbrainwashed into becoming muslim, so you dont believe in Islam. Same principle.
We were lucky. Becoming religious at 50yo would only be caused by anaccident of some sort

Not so far as i can tell. I can think of a lot of atheist friends and acquaintances whose beliefs have not changed at all in that respect from early adulthood into their fifties or older. I can only think of one atheist who became a deist, and even he didn't become religious.
