Visiting Boston for just a day?
We are coming from Chicago, going to R.I. in Oct. We are going to be in Boston on the last day of the trip. I am looking for places to eat that LOCALS go. Looking for any type of food really in a moderate price range. Lunch would be best. Thanks.

I too am from Chgo but fly in to BOS twice per year. High on my list of local places is the Union Oyster House. It's downtown and easy to find....a block from Faneuil Hall. It is the oldest restaurant in Boston with a long history...great seafood at reasonable prices...favorite lunchtime items...oysters, clam chowder, corn bread, lobster salad roll, grilled Boston scrod, fresh sea scallops, Boston Cream Pie:

If you will be there on a Saturday, try the chocolate bar buffet at the Langham Hotel.
It has every kind of chocolate treat anyone has ever craved.
