Get apple cider vinegar and in a spray bottle mix half and half water. spray the entire dog down to scalp and rub in the tick will fall off after leaving it in for a few minutes. brush the dog off to get remaining ticks off then rinse. put 1 tbsp of acv into 1 quart of drinking water daily with fresh water as a preventative. Ive done this for years with great results it also repels fleas and helps their digestion.

The only way to get rid of ticks is to get a flea and tick preventative. :( The brands that are the best for your dog, are the most expensive. I use them on my dog and they haven't had fleas or ticks at all since I got them.

you can go to your local pet store like petsmart or petco and they should have a comb for ticks and fleas where you can get them off your dog. you can also get a flea collar that prevents fleas ticks and hatchings (from the fleas and ticks). and i think that theres a bottle of a specific liquid where you can spray around furnature and carpets to kill and prevent fleas/ticks. i have a dog and i use the same flea collar i posted down below cause my dog is an american eskimo and his fur gets long.
