Mix 5 parts bleach with 2 parts water. Add one drop of Dawn dish soap. Stir continuously for no less than three minutes. Carefully pour the mixture into an empty spray bottle and spray directly on the part of carpet that has the athletes foot. To be safe, spray a few inches all around it too. Make sure you saturate the entire area, and when I say saturate I mean sopping wet. Don't pour! It has to be sprayed. I've used this method twice and it works.

Carpeting does not have athletes foot! It is not the proper breeding place for this fungus. If you must, hire a carpet cleaning company. But nothing special needs to be done.

Wear white cotton socks, you may need to change them several times a day. You can get an over the counter spray to help. Also allow good drying time for your shoes if your feet sweat, you may need to wear a switch from one pair to another each day. Clean your feet properly and remove dead skin, but do not cause extra irritation. When you do not need your shoes on let air hit them, flip flops are good if you can get away with it. Remember it is a fungus and that it is contagious and easy to spread.
