Accommodation question for UK family visit visa?

I am applying for a family visit visa for my husband to be able to visit me in the UK. I live in a council-owned property that Housing Benefit pays for as I am not currently working. Please could someone tell me:

1. Do I need to provide proof of our accommodation and my tenancy? It's a one bedroom flat and I have lived there 18 years now.

2. If my husband comes to stay will my claim be viewed as him having recourse to public funds?

Your help is appreciated.

As long as he has enough funds to fund his trip and you are not sponsoring him financially, it shouldn't matter and no you don't have to provide any details other than the address of where he will be staying.

If he were applying for a spouse visa, then you would almost certainly not be able to sponsor him if you are receiving any benefits and you would have to provide details of the number and size of rooms and the landlord's permission for him to live there with you.

I hope he can prove strong ties to his own country when he applies for his visa as with a wife in the UK he is an overstay risk otherwise.
