Ativan and Inderal (beta blocker)?
I have a plane flight coming up and I get bad panic attacks. My doc gave me the beta blocker (propranolol) and a benzo (Ativan) to take as needed for panic attacks. He said they are ok to take together, but I just want to know if any of you have any experience with it. I'm nervous with taking meds.
The beta blocker is for my HR which gets really high during my panic attacks and is uncomfortable to say the least. The Ativan is for the psychological symptoms. Should I take the beta blocker and hold on to the Ativan just in case, or vice versa, or just take them both before the plane trip? I can't decide.

read the label on the bottle. Or call the pharmacist. Your propranolol is probably meant to be taken daily. The Ativan is probably as needed. So you would take it to help calm yourself before you fly.
Your doctor already told you it was okay to take these at the same time. He should have told you how to take them(daily vs. as needed or before you fly).
If the pharmacist can't tell you, or the bottle instructions aren't clear, call your doctor. Why worry about not knowing, just ask.
Hope this helps. Good luck and have a fun trip.
