Why can 16 year olds not vote?

I know a lot of 16 year olds who really pay attention to politics and honestly the ones not interested will probably not go through the trouble to vote. The youth have to suffer through everything adults have to go through, i think it is a great idea! what do you think?

    You don't know as much as you think you do.............you will definitely see this differently in a few years.

    If I could have voted at 16 I would have voted for a Democrat. See?

    Because they don't know enough about life to make proper decisions on who should run the country

    Because you're a minor until you're 18 years old. Until then you're too young

    Because congress made that decision many years ago.
