Pros/Cons of dropping out of college after a year?
Obviously I would have kinda wasted a year of tuition money and it'll probably hard to find a super good job later in life. But I really really really dislike school. I like learning, but not stuff I don't want to. But I don't really have any special interests either so it's not even like there's a major that would make me super happy later. So help. I'm letting Y!A decide my fate

cons: it is always a big advantage to have graduated with a degree to prove your hardwork and success. being not able to graduate and not educated well will lead to refusal of your job application. many companies always look at your college background and transcript of record for your ability and traits. most likely, degree holders tend to be accepted by companies even though they are not that intelligent but devoted.
pros: although drop outs of college, bill gates, steve jobs, einstein, and etc, were all successful because of their abilities and intelligence. maybe someday you could be one of them if you continue to do what you are good at even out of school.

See if you dig anything they offer. If you don't look for a different path in life. Your life is what YOU make out of it. Sensible yahoo-answerers can only offer you sensible suggestions. By dropping out you essentially lose all of your first-year tuition money, leaving you with just your high school diploma to tackle the job market with. However, you do have options

Perhaps a career-training program at your local community college is more your speed. Or you might look into a government-sponsored job-training program. Visit your local Worksource office for more information on these.

I don't usually suggest dropping out, but it really doesn't make sense to stay in school during these economic times if you are not interested in anything. If you are taking loans out and incurring debt than I would suggest dropping out if you don't find anything that peaks your interest in the next year.
