Why won't my mini refrigerator get cold?

My mini refrigerator was operating perfectly for nearly a week. However, I return from work to find that it suddenly is very weak and won't chill my food properly. I've tried changing the temperature dial from a 6 to a 7 (the highest setting) but it appears to make a minimal difference. All advice is greatly appreciated!

Mini fridges are not nearly as well designed as regular fridges. If it has a freezer section and it's frozen over this will prevent the rest from getting cold. There is no air circulation in these and that means when the freezer gets covered in ice the temperature controller it in ice instead of air and it thinks it's very cold and won't turn on the cooling system.

Another alternative is that it may be broken.

Is it an older fridge? Was it kinda cheapish? Mine went out after a year and would only get cold in winter time.

its probably not plugged in, check the power cord, and if it is, check if that outlet is working.
