But I thought that...?
That the cold north was starved for warmth resulting in poor plant growth...
So then, why do Ottawa Mike and Peter J have to spend so much time trimming back the shrubberies to keep them at bay? Isn't the Pacific Northwest and Ottawa the cold, warmth starved north?
How can anyone thumbs down Dook or Gringo when they reference Monty Python? Shame on thee.
Jim, I have no problem with farmers, I work with them daily. My response to the other question was more tongue-in-cheek to Peter's assumption that alarmists are a bunch of limp-wristed sissies who've never worked a day in their lives.

Instead of 'deniers', perhaps we should call them "The Knights Who Say No"?

How interesting, Hey Dook's answer got deleted. Obviously it wasn't David B who reported him nor did I as I posted a similar answer. I wonder who it was.....

I lived pretty close to Peter, as a sergeant in the Army for two years in Ft. Lewis, Washington. When you are in those forests, it sometimes seems like there is no ground, just spongy moss and debris, and usually it is soaking wet. You pay a price for so much moisture in comfort but it sure makes for it with lots of shrubbery.
It seems you really didn't care for those farm boys. I got a feeling they know more than you give them credit for.

Nice try.
Yes, in spite of several years in a row of cooler than normal temperatures we still get ridiculous amount of plant growth.... I'm glad I'm not on the North Florida plan for containing plant growth... which takes even more effort.
Edit:
Funny how you get "limp-wristed sissies who've never worked a day in their life" out of a commentary about how fast plants grow....

I doubt you do much thinking period. Looks like deniers and there shrubs could be an opportunity for a grant to expand on the list of AGW induced problems.
