Why is my computer making a lot of noise?

I got a HP pavilion a few months ago for gaming, during these few months it has been quiet, but lately it's been making fan noise and blowing a lot of heat from its fans even more when I'm playing games like crysis and skyrim. I can ignore this fan noise but it bothers me because it never made fan noise until a week ago and i feel heat coming from the vents that never came from the vents before. It makes a bit of fan noise when I'm doing normal stuff, but it does it even more when I'm gaming which does make sense to me since gaming needs more power. Could someone tell me if this is a problem I should check out, or if this is normal because I never faced this problem before.

Have you ever thought of performing some preventative maintenance on the computer and cleaned all the dust out of the inside and off of the fan blades? That's something that should be done at least 3 or 4 times a year, depending on the conditions the computer is operated in. If you have pets like a cat or dog, that makes it worse than if there were no pet hair flying around the house. In that case, you need to do the cleaning every 3 months at a minimum. Open the case, ground yourself to the metal frame of the tower and use "canned air" or a small vacuum cleaner attachment to get the dust out from around the components inside the case. Be careful around the fan blades as they can be fragile. If there's dust caked on the blades, gently wipe it off with a damp cloth. Make sure you clean around the vents to get rid of any dust on the inside of the slots. Don't forget to also hit the keyboard and monitor while you're at it.

The more stuff you do, especially gaming, really heats up a computer. The fan speed adjusts depending on the heat (hotter=faster) automatically. Do you have a lot of dust or pet hair around? Your heatsink could be plugged with dust. You can try blowing compressed air through the vent, but the best way to get it unclogged it to take it apart.

    Hey there,

Forgive me but does your system have a graphics card? And if so are you sure that the noise you are referring to is actually coming from the fans?

Regardless if it is the fan it could just mean that the fan is no longer able to function as it use to, sad to say it but, most stock computers aren't equipped to handle much before the wear and tear begins to show its tole. It could also be the bearing in the fan (or graphics card fan) in this case you could take some grease for bearings and put it on a q tip and attempt to re-grease them.

In my opinion its probably best for you to go but a new fan for your case, they're cheap and easy to install.

examine your followers hear to one and all see in the event that they rotate slower. If its a fan you only purchase a sparkling one they are much less high priced i think of $10 at a staples much greater much less high priced on line. in case you could't tell end the fan manually and notice if the sound stops. do no longer do it alot its no longer sturdy for the fan. If its the capability furnish fan you could replace it yet you could desire to do away with the capability unit open it and doubtless splice the wires. it rather is ordinary nonetheless 2 wires diverse colours. If its no longer that that it is your difficultpersistent, it could make noise and nonetheless paintings, for awhile. If its a discpersistent it rather is going to in basic terms be noisey while a disc is inserted. thats kinda a no-brainer nonetheless.
