Will an under the dash parcel tray fit in a VW Bug with the Empi kick panel speaker mounts?

I want to order a bamboo tray for my 67 bug but I have some 6.5" speakers mounted in Empi kick panel mounts, so I am not sure if the parcel tray will fit above the speakers. If you have both in your bug, please let me know how it fit.
