I don't think you're going to get too many answers with true oppression. 3rd wave feminism is about female privilege and perks and has nothing to do with equality. They know it, too.

I agree that "oppression" is too strong of a word, but I still feel that there's a need for feminism.

But really? The wars that the US is involved in have nothing to do with women's rights. If people do gain more rights in those areas, it's a side effect. Have we actually been at war for so long that people are forgetting why we started?
