Help PLEASE I desperately need to get my life, house, body and mind in order !?
It seems as though every area of my life (home, relationships, work, health, financial, (lack of) quality of life, my own thoughts, dreams and aspirations etc. etc. etc.is upside-down, lost or intricately tied up with circumstances I can't change. I have tried asking for help from a few people and organizations who theoretically are my closest allies, yet am steadily (over a 2 year period) finding myself more confused, useless, unmotivated and unproductive and am causing distress to those close to me.
Are there any life coaches who give their services free of charge ? Or those in training who would like a case study ?
Any help or suggestions would be most gratefully received.
Many thanks
Kate

First off I'm not a life coach but I take social sciences, so I'm not just making this up out of the blue.
The first thing I suggest is just taking time in the day for self reflection or meditation. Think of your wants and needs, where you are in life, where you are currently going, where you want to be, and how to get there. A journal is a very good way to keep track of this. Some people are also very fond of using a vision board although I personally don't like the method. Either way doing this will help keep track of your goals and aid you in getting where you want to be.
Secondly, when things get rough you need to briefly abandon your wants and focus solely on your needs. If it is a financial problem you might have to put off on new clothes or furniture, maybe cancel the cable or the cell phone/home phone, if you drive a car and that is costing too much in gas ride the bus for a month or bike or walk. If you want things to get better in your life you need to keep living so having money to buy food and water and have a place to stay at night is more important than having that new pair of shoes or spending time out with your friends.
I guess I could ramble on and give more suggestions on what you should do but I don't know enough about your life so I can only make assumptions as to what would be best for you. All of these things are connected though, so when one goes downhill they all do and it is often hard to just focus on one thing at a time with everything else is continuously pulling you down. Be patient, these things take awhile but once you are set on trying to fix them they will be solved. Try to gather your thoughts first about who you are and who you want to be then strive to be that person. Once you change your mindset you change the way you view the world.

I suggest that maybe you find a therapist to discuss your issues. Most cities offer some sort of help to those who can't afford it. The older we get life sometimes becomes more difficult and depressing. We sometimes let the past get in our way of being happy. What I would do is sit down and figure what you want out of life. Accept where you are and have been. Circumstances can be changed for the future. It takes the desire to do so. Changing Your Attitude about things can make a world of difference. We all have failed at things in our lives. Lost People, money, and things. It isn't what Happens to You but what Happens in You. What keeps me going is knowing if I keep on trying then things will go more my way. I don't want to Quit only to find out how close I was to being Happy. You write the book for your life. Good Luck.
