Do I Have Ear Eczema?

Well, crap.

For the last two years, I have had dry, crusty skin in my ears that I still am ALWAYS picking at. They are usually white patches of skin but can be yellow occasionally. I always thought this was just dry skin, but I just found out what eczema was, so... sh*t.

I've not only looked into eczema but ear dermatitis and psoriasis as well. I do have many symptoms of them listed EXCEPT I do not have any itching nor does it swell or hurt. It isn't red or irritated, either. However, when I peel off these patches of skin, it does hurt (obviously), gets a little red, and only swells a little bit. But it goes away within the next day. It's almost like peeling off a scab.

The only reason I pick at it is because I'm kind of OCD-ish, I just pick at it for the sake of picking at it, and not picking at it bugs me. I also occasionally have very bad dandruff on my forehead and scalp, but it only happens occasionally. I do NOT pick in my ear canal or anywhere near my eardrum, just in my ear lobe, so I would not have any possibility of damaging my actual ear, and I'm a 16 yr old female.

What is this, how bad is this, and what the hell am I supposed to do?

I will absolutely cry if I have psoriasis or eczema.

I don't believe peroxide will support you. Our household uses and recommends Salcura's products. Specially Salcura Dermaspray Intensive. It worked like a miracle to solve the eczema. It's a traditional spray, with a mild milky tint to it. Will stop the itching inside minutes, and heal any eczema rash or irritation rapidly. It is no longer simplest powerful, nevertheless it absorbs very speedily, is not greasy or sticky. Would commonly work well on your ear eczema.

Sounds more like psoriasis to me due to the patches. Sometimes eczema can be thinner and not as patchy. Of course, consulting a dermatologist / doctor is best.

my brother has eczema on his hands and it was turning yellowish around and cracking open to being red and it hurt. He didnt have to touch it to be flaky. Research says it has common in people who have or had asthma or allergies. I would talk to a dermatologist. there isn't much you can do about it but they can give you something to help treat it, no matter what it is.
