Why would 0/0 be different than 1/0 in that one is undefined and the other is indeterminant?

    Say 1/0 = n

    That means that 1 = 0n

This can never happen -> undefined.

    Say 0/0 = n

    That means that 0 = 0n

This happens for every real (and imaginary too) value of n, there is no answer (except when you're taking a limit, but that's a special case)

0/0 can be anything and so is indeterminate, because any number times 0 is 0. However, 1/0 is undefined, since no number times 0 can be 1.

    Lord bless you today!
