What is the science behind how Dyson Air Multipliers Work?

With no moving blades, I just don't get how they can move air! I'm thinking of getting one after having a mishap with one of my fingernails getting hit by a fan blade. Do they actually work well?

    Hi there,

It's Jack at Dyson. Our Air Multiplier™ fans and heaters draw in air and amplify it up to 18 times, producing an uninterrupted stream of smooth air. You can find out more about how this technology works on our website:

I hope this helps. If you have any further questions about our machines, please email us at askdysonUS@dyson.com and we'll be in touch as soon as possible.

    Best wishes,

    Jack

It does not even make an better fan. that's in basic terms ten circumstances greater costly than a prevalent fan. and there remains a "genuine" fan interior, interior the backside. Their air-blade hand dryer (which supposedly stimulated this fan) quite does artwork far greater suitable than common hand dryers, yet that does no longer mean that this gimmicky fan unavoidably works greater suitable. i do no longer see the way it could additionally be utilized to planes or jet packs, much less lead them to any further effective or effective.

It has moving blades you just don't see them (it's more like a turbine fan in the base). The price is ridiculous. Just get a fan with a cover small enough you can't sneak your little finger nails in there.

Not as well as keeping your fingers away from spinning fan blades does, but they do produce a breeze.
