Nah they don't need to know. Its your call to tell them at any time. I had an abortion this year and didn't tell my family until last month. They are all pro-life and I am pro-choice and they are religious and I am not but I felt bad for keeping something from them and I also found it silly that their beliefs were making me feel as though I couldn't tell them something important in fear of losing them. I told them and they were shocked and hurt but ultimately, they were on my side and were more hurt at the fact I didn't tell them sooner, which I understand.

I understand if you end up do telling your parents but also understand if you don't. Good luck with whatever you do x

It is entirely up to you whether you want to tell your parents. I personally think it is okay that they don't know, because who knows what kind of emotions they'll have if they do know. That being said, if you're looking for someone to comfort you or just someone to talk to in general, try reaching out to some close friends. If you and your mom are really close though, it may be okay for you to tell her. Either way, this was your personal decision, and it is up to you whom you tell, if anyone.

You shouldn't hide anything from your parents. I hope you did not get one because you thought that is what they would want you to do. If you did then you may have a made a huge mistake.
