From the muslim point of view, the big bully barely being President, hardly commander in chief, who is at the same time impotent to his re-election and busy campaigning, is a good time to attack Americans.

    Nobody is running America.

Its time to understand the epilogue to this story. When it ends, the story will open with "There was an empty chair and an empty suit in the Oval Office in America from 2009 - ... until the great destruction event...America collapse...numbers of American deaths previously unimaginable...life in America forever altered..."

Did anyone have a prediction that a particular consulate would be attacked? Of course not, or they would have done something whether the President attended or not.

The Republicans are claiming that George W. Bush attended more security briefings than Obama does, but they do not mention that 9/11 happened on the Bush watch while Osama bib Ladn died as a result of President Obama's policies and with his full involvement.

When the 9/11 attacks occurred all Americans supported the President, including every Democrat. That is because we are patriots. What does your failure to support our President at this time make you?

Even in the media there have been indications of increased Muslim Brotherhood violence. Do you really think that those same warnings were not part of Obama's daily intelligence briefings..... the ones he didn't attend so he could go play golf?

No. But if Obama had attended those meeting before 9/11 ( like Bush did) maybe he would have been able to thwart those 9/11 attacks.

No, it is the accumulation of bad decisions and the disregard of history that have brought USA to this junction. It would have made a different if we have established credibility as to what would happen if an embassy is attacked.

Very well could have. Guess being on letterman or some other assholes show

was more important then meeting with other government leaders to understand

the state of the mid east. That is unless the Muslim Brotherhood wants him for

some reason then he is all ears.

Well, Obama hasn't held a Press Conference in 6 months, preferring

"soft ball" style interviews where the hardest questions concern his

golf handicap. Why would he care about world events.

Hogwash report from right wing media.

"White House spokesperson Jay Carney said that Obama gets and reads the presidential daily briefing document every day and is “a voracious consumer of all of his briefing materials. And when he is physically here, most days he has a meeting in his office.” Meanwhile, National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor wrote in an e-mail to Politico that “the President is among the most sophisticated consumers of intelligence on the planet” and that “most days when he’s at the White House receives a briefing in person.”"

he could have been proactive, considering that it was the anniversary of 9/11, and had security increased in areas that may have been vulnerable to attack for a few days.

I don't think it would have made a difference. Bush attended most of his meetings and 9/11 still happened.
