Can I visit the United States on a tourist visa during Christmas into the New year?

Hi I am a full British citizen.

I have already previously visited the United States this year in March for 80 days and I have been invited back for Thanksgiving and Christmas by friends over there.

I had such a good time on my visit earlier this year to the United States and I have saved up more money for another possible trip back over there and after doing some thinking and planning I would very much like to visit again over Thanksgiving and Christmas into the new year and as I have been invited by some friends over there I think this could be an unforgettable Christmas as I don't know if I'd ever get this opportunity again.

Well I understand that I can visit the states for 90 days per visit 180 days per year on a tourist visa?

I was thinking as I'm planning on being over there until after the new year will I run into any problems? I don't wanna be violating my visa by over staying my 90 days or have any trouble with the CBP officer when I arrive.

Am I good for visiting for another long visit so soon?

Will I be affecting my visa if I stay into the new year or will that be classed as overstaying even though I'm still within my 90 days?

I'm planing on going for 86 days this time.

Thanks for your answers

The 180 day limit is not based on the calendar year. You are fine coming for another visit within one year. You can come back again next year, too. Glad to hear you are having a wonderful visit.
