Hi. I listed some items on ebay last week that didn't sell and e-bay has automatically re-listed those items for another 6 days witch I did not ask for. I need to end items as I'm going to be charged a higher fee no doubt.

2 AnswersSearch Engine Optimisation8 years agoWhy are British people still complaining about the crappy summers in Britain?
Why are people still complaining about the crap weather?
Yes its summertime and yes its still gray skies, its been happening for the past 10 years hasn't anybody figured out the pattern yet?
I can predict what summertimes will be like in Britain because every year is always the same except summertimes get slightly worse each year as the years go by.
I was amazed that we had about 4 weeks of good sunshine already this year and it isn't even August yet. There will probably be a wash out no doubt within the next few weeks or so before the last bit of sunshine.
So this is the way summer goes in Britain... News reporters will tell you that we are going to have a fantastic hot Indian summer but of course it never happens. A bit of sunshine in April for a few days but cold. Lots of rain and gray skies in May. Some nice weather in June "about 2 weeks worth" then more rain and gray skies. July more rain than ever lots of floods. August more rain and by the 25th of August the weather will then start improving, then it will be nice sunny days until the end of September and then back to the coldness and gloomy dull gray Great British weather.

Hi I'm thinking about doing some projects, building an electronic go kart & an electronic Mountain bike.
I've got a nice starter motor and a 20 amp lead acid battery to power it, I'm thinking about mounting the starter motor & that battery to my mountain bike for when going up hills and stuff.
I know the motor can do serious speeds of around 60 mph although I'm going to limit the motor to do between 25 to 30 mph as mounting bikes aren't made for such speeds of 60 mph.
If I were to do this and take it on the road, would this be illegal?
If so why is this illegal? its not an engine but an electronic motor or does the same thing apply?
Can I build an electronic go kart and drive it on the road legally? I'll put lights and indicators on it and stuff.
Many thanks
6 AnswersSafety8 years agoWhy have the Metropolitan Police started to call themselves cops?
Americanism at its finest...
Ok first of all I just want to make it clear I have nothing against police or America. I love America but this is Britain NOT America.
I'm getting really irritated with all this Americanism here in London, its getting very pathetic now. Why are the Metropolitan Police calling themselves cops?
I was watching TV last night and watched (Brit Cops) hows that for Americanism. The word (Brit) is what Americans call us British and the word (Cop) is American. Much of what I saw was very bizarre the Met police were even chewing gum some wearing sunglasses trying to act all cool and American. They where also using words like (Police Cruiser) or cop car and so on.
Why does everything revolve around America over here?
8 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police8 years agoVolunteer in the USA (Summer Camp)?
Hi. I'm just wondering what my chances are doing voluntary work in the USA next year. I am up for any kinda outdoor voluntary work whether that would be a volunteer at a Summer Camp or doing something else.
I don't mind even if its somewhere else like Australia, South Africa or some place else just as long as its not in the UK, preferably I'd like it to be in the USA.
I have no convictions, I've been to the US a few times for vacations in the past and would love to go back again.
I am 28 years of age and I'm not a student and I have never been to university... would that affect my chances or am I just dreaming and have no chance?
I have looked at a few websites regarding this but cant seem to find much info on the subject.
Any info such as links to websites would be much appreciated.
I'll give 10 points for a best answer even if it is all doom & gloom.
Thanks.
3 AnswersCommunity Service8 years agoWhere can I find American girls in London for dating?
Hi. I'm a British guy. I love American girls and love the American accent I can't get enough of it.
I lived in North Carolina for 2 years and dated a few while I was over there but now I'm back in London (UK) I want to settle down with a nice American woman.
Any ideas?
6 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender8 years agoWhat do people do in London on a Saturday night?
What do people do on a Friday and Saturday night? I'm asking this question because my neighbors lights are always off Saturdays and I feel like I'm the only person at home on those nights.
I use to go out to pubs and night clubs sometimes but don't really feel like doing that and getting drunk and being out my face every weekend as it gets boring after a while not to mention what it does to your liver and with the NHS possibly getting taken away from us in the future I'd like to keep my health. I have no friends either so its pointless me going to a pub on my own because that would be depressing, but hey this is London surly there are plenty of things to do?
What do people do apart from getting out their face every weekend? I need to socialize more as I feel that I'm just going to die a sad old lonely man. I'm almost 30 and most people are married with kids at that age. How can I start living my life again?
any ideas?
3 AnswersOther - Society & Culture8 years agoLooking for some South African recipes?
Hi. I've got interested in South Africa and I was just wondering what a typical South African meal would be?
What are popular meats over there and how are they seasoned & cooked, what seasoning is used and how do you I make it.
I'd like to make a South African meal sometime but haven't got a clue where to start.
I'm interested in savory South African cooking recipes.
I live in the UK so can only get ingredients available here in the UK.
Thanks.
5 AnswersCooking & Recipes8 years agoCheap and easy recipes for Indian food question.?
Hi I live in the UK so I can only use ingredients available in UK stores.
Does anybody have any cheap and easy recipes for some good Indian food. I'm not interested in any artificial glop in a jar, like the curry sources in the stores. I'd like to make things from natural ingredients.
I don't have a huge amount of money to spend and food isn't cheap now days, so my budget will be around 15 to 20 pounds.
Any answers are appreciated.
Thanks
3 AnswersEthnic Cuisine8 years agoHelp. Black Widow Spiders found in my flat (UK)?
Hi. I been traveling to America a lot over the past few years and I think I must have accidentally bought back a pregnant Black Widow Spider with me that must have been hiding in my suitcase.
Today I have been cleaning out my cupboard and have found around 7 Black Widow Spiders.
I know it sounds crazy, I know a Black Widow Spider when I see one, I have even checked out images of Black Widow Spiders online and they look exactly the same.
I'm kinda worried because If I was to get bitten by one of these I could die within 30 minutes and I very much doubt the NHS at the emergency room will take me seriously that I have been bitten by a Black Widow spider until its to late, not to mention having an anti venom.
What do I do?
Who can I contact?
I think I might have more?
Thanks
10 AnswersOther - General Health Care8 years agoHow much would a passport for a US citizen cost?
Hi. I'm looking into the possibility of my American girlfriend to come visit me in the UK.
I visit my American girlfriend all the time in the US but she can't afford to come here to the UK to visit me, & she doesn't have a passport either.
I was just wondering how much does a US passport cost?
How much would a cheap round trip ticket be to the UK from the US in dollars?
I usually pay 700 to 800 pounds for my E ticket round trip when I go to the states.
Thanks.
1 AnswerOther - Destinations8 years agoFiance K1 visa for USA (British Citizen)?
Hey, I just came back from America today, and I had to say goodbye to my girlfriend once again. I've spent several long trips over there. I travel to the united states on a tourist visa and stay for 87 days per trip.
Well after doing a lot of thinking/deciding, me and my American girlfriend really want to get married so we have decided to get the ball rolling, also I'd like to be able to stay with her in the states without having to come back to the UK & for me to do that I'd need the right visa?
Whats the easiest visa? are there any easier options?
What do I?
We have spoken about the possibility of her coming to visit me in the UK witch is a slim chance of that happening due to her being on low income and the fact that she will lose her jobs that she has if she comes here for a visit. She can not move here either and I'd rather live over there with her in the sunshine.
Thanks

I'm in the process of studying for my Ham Radio license and have been listening to ham radio for a while now and as I'm unable get on the air it would be nice if I can join in with the hobby on forums and talk to other hams as I have lots of questions and ideas and to learn more.
Are there any Ham forums that I can start using when I sign up?

5 AnswersRadio9 years agoDo I need a balun for a dipole antenna (70cm) UHF?
Hi. I'm building a dipole antenna for 446MHz PMR frequency and my wisdom on antennas isn't the greatest.
I've been looking around on ebay for a dipole antenna but found very little, I found an 88MHz to 108MHz VHF dipole which I'm going to cut down to size to match the UHF 446 frequency, however I'm kinda doubtful on how good this antenna will preform.
I was thinking alls a dipole is, is its a piece of metal. What is so special about it? and how different would a standard piece of wire work from a dipole?
I'm thinking I'm missing something here? there must be more to a dipole other then two pieces of metal, a dipole thats actually going to have some kinda performance.
Will a balun make the difference and if so, what would one look like for this particular frequency?
I'm going to be using 50 ohm low loss coax and a modified dipole, is it necessary to add a balun to my list?
Does anybody have any recommendations for a better idea and something thats not to scrappy.
Thanks.
2 AnswersTiVO & DVRs9 years agoWhat do I do if a find a store that is selling counterfeit alcohol UK?
Okay I know that this probably sounds stupid, but what I'm about to say is real and is going on everywhere.
I think that I have bought some fake alcohol as the (HM Revenue & Customs) pink sticker on the back of the bottle doesn't look genuine, also I shined a UV light on the customs sticker and it didn't illuminate.
Are all UK HM Revenue & Customs labels suppose to illuminate under UV light?
There are some numbers on the back of the bottle, so is their a website to where I can type in the number thats on the back of the bottle to find out if its genuine or not?
I really hope that this isn't a fake as I've drank this a number of times in the past and something just isn't right about it.
Can I sue if this bottle of alcohol turns out to be a fake?

I was so excited to discover that there are Aldi stores in London and when I went there I was highly disappointed to find that they don't sell any American food -_-
So why have they named it Aldi? It isn't Aldi its horrifying. Aldi is American but all's they sell is British food.

Hi I'm looking for a download link for Ubuntu 12.04 (non pae version)
I've downloaded this before a couple months ago but can't remember what I did with the file, so I need to download it again. I've been looking for it all day in Google so I've come here to ask.
Also while I'm on the subject of Linux. Is there a basic light weight modern looking Linux that resembles Chrome OS something thats not outdated like most Linux distributions that aren't Ubuntu.
13 AnswersSoftware9 years agoIs there a limited amount of time you can have left on a British passport when traveling to America?
Hi. My passport expires in December 2013, does this pose a problem to travailing to the US between November 2012 to February 2013?
From my understanding, I will need to renew my passport if there is a limited amount of time left on my passport example 6 mouths, before my return date?
Additionally do I have to renew my ESTA application?
Other - United States9 years agoCan I visit the United States on a tourist visa during Christmas into the New year?
Hi I am a full British citizen.
I have already previously visited the United States this year in March for 80 days and I have been invited back for Thanksgiving and Christmas by friends over there.
I had such a good time on my visit earlier this year to the United States and I have saved up more money for another possible trip back over there and after doing some thinking and planning I would very much like to visit again over Thanksgiving and Christmas into the new year and as I have been invited by some friends over there I think this could be an unforgettable Christmas as I don't know if I'd ever get this opportunity again.
Well I understand that I can visit the states for 90 days per visit 180 days per year on a tourist visa?
I was thinking as I'm planning on being over there until after the new year will I run into any problems? I don't wanna be violating my visa by over staying my 90 days or have any trouble with the CBP officer when I arrive.
Am I good for visiting for another long visit so soon?
Will I be affecting my visa if I stay into the new year or will that be classed as overstaying even though I'm still within my 90 days?
I'm planing on going for 86 days this time.
Thanks for your answers
