Sterling sign on keyboard...?
As an ex-pat living in the U.S., it occasions I must at times use the Sterling sign but find I now cannot. I know about hitting "Alt 0163" and that did work for a while - oddly, not now. I have loaded a "U.K. keyboard" but it does not help - and is most confusing.
I look forward to responses.
Thank you.

Yes it's because the Regional and Language settings are still in the US mode.
Assuming that you have W 7
Control Panel ► Region and Language ► Click on Keyboard & Language ►General ► Add ► Add English UK ► Expand Keyboard list ► Scroll down to UK and put a tick in it ► OK
Click on the Language Bar ► Put a tick in "Show Additional Language Bar icon in the Task Bar" ► Apply & OK ► Apply & OK.
Now when you change keyboards you just change the language as well in the Task Bar.
