Most computers do not have a port for an RCA plug. You need an adapter.

    For what?

For analog line audio, you use a 3.5mm to RCA adapter. For digital audio, it should have coaxial RCA or optical our. Optical can be converted to coaxial with a converter.

For video out, if the computer does not have RCA video out or come with or have an adapter available, you need a converter box to convert what your computer has to what your TV has.

For A/V in, you need a video capture card or USB capture device.
