Can anyone give me a reason to vote for Mitt Romney BESIDES the fact that he's not Obama?

I've asked this question before.

I'm not affiliated with any political party, and I'm not sure who I'm going to vote for. It's pretty obvious that the winner is going to be either Obama or Romney. I asked one of my friends who they are going to vote for, and he said "Anybody but Obama!". I thought, listen, I understand why some people believe that Obama is the worst president in modern history (increased deficit, etc.) and that they think he's anti-American or socialist or Muslim (those assumptions are absurd, by the way), but voting for someone simply for the fact that they are not the other candidate doesn't seem logical. What if Romney does an even worse job than Obama ever did? I'm not saying it will happen, but I'm simply asking, "What if?". If you are going to vote for someone, you should at least have positive views about the other candidate, who in this case is Mitt Romney.

So, what are some reasons to vote for Mitt Romney OTHER than the fact that's he's not Obama? Be sure to explain your answers in the best detail you can. Also, please be polite and mature about this. Don't insult me, my logic, or anything like that. Let's be adults here...

    Look, I am a conservative and no fan of Obama, but i will try to give a balanced answer

    First, he is not obama is a pretty good reason when you are about to run off a cliff you turn to another direction any direction is better than continuing on a failed course. Even a potential disaster is better than a certain one I guess is my point.

    Romney comes from a Business background he know what makes economies and businesses work. He managed one of the more successful venture capital firms of our time. that has honed his skills at identifying inefficiencies and maximizing returns. Good skills for a chief executive.

    He has showed exceptional leadership skills in his tenures at Bane Capital , The US Olympic committee and as Governor of MA. where he worked with both democrats and Republicans in government.

    Despite the rhetoric Romney's record shows a fairly centrist candidate that is not likely to rule from the extremes.

    lastly you have to evaluate a persons sense of judgment. Contrast Romney's record from hs starting and running of Bane Capital to his rescue of the Salt lake olympics financial problems to his record as Gov. and you see a track record of mostly sound judgment. he has especially shown an adeptness at problem solving

    This compares to Obama's bully tactics in getting health care reform passed and his general inflexibility and willingness to adapt and change his view in the face of fact or changing information. He has shown better judgment in non-political matters such as the use of our military and general diplomatic policies. However, on domestic policies has tended to get more wrong than right and inject politics where it has no business such as the use of bailout funds.

    Look I know Romney has the charisma of a desert camel and Obama has that it spades but is that what you really want.

    In the end you have to ask yourself these questions

    do you think this country need a drastic change of direction?

    do you think Obama is capable of making these changes in direction?

    do you think Romney is capable of executing on this change of direction?

    In your gut who do you think has the integrity and best interest of the nation in his heart to do the right thing and not the political thing, and the skill set to actually carry this out.

    .

    Only you can answer this for yourself my friend I have already made my choice

    What if Romney does a worse job than obama?? What if he doesn't? Unfortuntely, none of us have a crystal ball to tell us the answer.. However, we do know that obama's performance has been more than horrible.. We also know he has no regard for the constitution and he is corrupt.. If the best indicator of the future, is the past, why would anybody think anything would get better with another 4 years of obama?? We also know that without having to worry about re-election he will be even more of a loose canon.. He has told us that himself by stating that if congress does not pass what he wants he will circumvent them and pass what he likes through executive order.. No, we don't know if Romney will be an improvement, we can only hope but since obama just becomes more disasterous by the day it's time to give someone else a chance...

    He knows how to make money for himself and his investors. He is from a minority religion, so maybe he will be more attuned to minority interests... He speaks French.

    This is really hard. Honestly, this guy to a lesser extent and the party he represents are a serious threat to the middle class. Its not so much Romney as his party. You can't have one without the other. When I look what has happened in Wisconsin and to a lesser extent places like Ohio and Indiana, I am really concerned what a party currently being controlled by its right wing will do to America.

    Still, I did try. Maybe the French thing will sway you.

    Romney wants America to prosper. He knows that can't happen until entitlements are cut, and the insane spending stops. He will work for strong alliance with Israel and other friends. He will not suck up to the enemy. He will rid us of the obamacare, which alone would break the country.

    * $5+ Trillion Debt in 3 years

    * $1.3 Trillion average deficit/year

    * $818 Billion wasted "stimulus"

    * Obamacare and its taxes

    * 8.3% declared unemployment (Real one 14%+)

    * 17% declared underemployment

    * 2 US Economy downgrades

    * 1300+ days without a budget (last three voted DOWN 97-0, 414-0, 99-0)

    "If Mr. Obama wins re-election, and his budget projections prove accurate, the National Debt will top $20 trillion in 2016, the final year of his second term. That would mean the Debt increased by 87 percent, or $9.34 trillion, during his two terms."

    He wants the country to prosper.

    The House and Senate should be the focus for Independence and restoration of the Constitution. Vet your votes.

    He's going to create jobs. Oh wait, when he was governor, Massachusetts ranked 47th out of 50 in job creation.

    My bad.

    Um, let's see now. He's going to help the seniors. Oh wait, he and Paul Ryan are going to voucherize their social security and have them pay over $6000 extra per year.

    My bad.

    Um.....He's going to.....

    Sorry, I can't think of a thing.
