GH: Wasn't John Ingle the best?

Yes, he was, and I'm glad he got to one last scene on GH before he died. RIP.

No he was not. He replaced David Lewis who played Edward from 1978 to 1991. David Lewis died around the time John Ingle took over the role. David have been famous as well for starring in Batman tv show for a few episodes as the prison warden in the 1960's. So, John Ingle is not the original, but I thought they should have killed Edward off when David Lewis died. They kept Anna Lee as Lila until she died, and never replaced her.

John Ingle (Edward) did not want to leave GH, but pretty much had no choice given his dwindling presence on the show. Worst of all, TPTB gave him his pink slip on his 49th wedding anniversary, without a reason why........Ingle was fired in 2003; Edward was to die. The fan protest was so overwhelming that he was rehired and put on recurring status....lucky for us.

Yes john ingle was awesome!! He's the only Edward i remeber. I cried last wk when he was on for the serum and gave it too emma. Not a word was said from him aqnd you can just feel his presence. Btw, technically, Edward isnt dead yet, he recovered from the virus. Its the actor sadly that passed.

I think he was on DOOL for a short while as Mickey Horton. He was a recast for a popular actor many of us grew up with, so it took some time to get used to him. He was a good actor and I was glad he returned to GH since he considered it his home.

Yes he was the best and he will be missed :(
