uh...I ask the clerk to verify why it rung at that price. May be a reason and I get a deal. Or it may be a mistake, and I can live with myself.

I don't know about where you live. But here in America some of our retailers charge you more than the marked price. When I go to these places I usually don't buy the 15% of merchandise that is miss marked on purpose and this is done all the time. Therefore, if they accidently gave me to much money I would not give it back, because all the super stores try to make money by marking the wrong price. If its done at a small store and I know the people then I would definitely give the money back.

Say nothing, it sounds bad but lets suppose it was a parking fine you got charged less for who would complain about that. Every thing is overpriced thesedays take the tenner and run stick it in your pocket.. Sometimes Honestey is not always the best policy.

There are enough times when shop keepers will over-charge, so when it goes in your favour, just accept it as balancing out the mistakes.

I once got an extra £20 from an ATM. Nice!

I was once £20 short from an ATM, so I went straight inside and told them. They made up the shortfall over the counter. Also nice!

Sometimes it works in your favour, the vast majority of the time it works in their favour. Accept it as one of God's little gifts.

Well, it could be the cashiers error but the price could have changed on their system but they have not got around to changing the displayed price. Personally I say nothing.

Give a little respectful nod. If your cashier rang you up wrong to be a cool guy, it'll all be well. But if it was a mistake, he won't notice and think you're just being polite.

Life is better with a clear conscience. Would I give that up for £10? Not a chance.

I gently suggest to the clerk that he or she might have made a simple mistake. It happens, but I'm not going to screw the poor clerk for a tenner.

Probably human error. I would remind cashier. However, it is possible that this item may have marked down for discount.

Well it depends, if it is a independent business I would not (I would feel bad), but if it was a multi chain store (eg: Asda) I would not say anything ;D
