Where is the crankcase on a Buick park ave?

Bought some of the "magic fluid" snake oil stuff but figured why not give it try. It says put it in the crankcase, was wondering if anybody has ever done this and knows exactly how to get it in. Thanks

I agree with your intentions. The crankcase is entered through the OIL FILLER CAP. It will drain directly inot the OIL PAN that prtects the CRANKCASE. Older BUICKs has serious issues with OIL PUMPS and other items. You are BEST off just getting a mild SLUDGE removal treatment and then using MOBIL ONE 0W-30 synthetic oil, or even PENNZOIL ULTRA or PLATINUM. These oils will CLEAN Out the "crankcase' ,piston rings, and eventually your converter with time and reduce friction while improving economy and power.l MARVEL MYSTERY oil is OK to use, and so is RISOLONE, which is a full detergent additive. The BEST thing is to STOP using cheap oil change bargain specials and use ONLY a GM approved SYNTEHTIC one with the GM specification numbers printed on the LABEL! ALSO if your BUICK is between the years 1996-2003, get a FULL Dexcool REMOVAL flush and fill. It was proven in MANY courts of law that DEXCOOL with time turns to clogging GEL and makes slduge winthin the COOLING SYSTEM. Heater cores, and intake manifold gaskets get RUINED With time. SO use either TOYOTA RED, MERCEDES YELLOW or AUDI VIOLET colored coolant to protect it from serious deterioration over time. WHAt kind of SNAKE oil are you referring to??? the "OILBOB" webstie can be helpdful in figuring out WHAT wroks and what does NOT. Also GM engines do MUCH better if you remove the factory spark plugs and install BOSCH IRIDIUM ones. They fire MORE fuel MORE completely and can improve mielage and power by up to 20-%. BUT only if your THROTTLE BODY and IDLE AIR CONTROL valve are PERFECTLY SHOWROOM clean. I have BUICKS running around with 230k miles and more, but I made these changes to them FIRST! GOOD LUCK!!!

The crankcase is the technical name for any space inside the engine where the crankshaft, rods, pistons, camshaft and oil pan is. If the oil level is not too high, dump motor oil additive woodchuck crap in where you add regular motor oil.

Read your manual carefully what the manufacturer of the car says about adding "whizzbang" additives to the motor oil!

Fill it through the oil cap. Simple as that.

Put it in where you pour in oil. If you don't know where that it, consult your owner's manual. Don't expect any miracles. All that stuff is snake oil
