Seeing things in the dark?

At night when it is time for me to go to bed and the lights are turned off, I start to see things in the dark. I claim to see aliens, monsters, and ghosts. I have a general fear of the dark, and I have to light up the whole house just to go to another room! I do wear glasses and I have something in my head that says "There's a monster right there, look it's going to get you". It's not another 'person's' voice, it's my own voice. I'm very paranoid in the dark.

I'm wondering if you can give me a small diagnosis so I can see what I'm looking at here. I also want to know if there's anything I can do to help this, and if there's something wrong. I'm 13 and I'm a girl.

Trust me, nothing unusual. You are just afraid of the dark.

I would just fall asleep listening to music and have the tv on or buy a night light.

I'm a bit scared of the dark and do those things so I won't hear noises (creaking, etc.) And I close my eyes so I won't see anything and have my whole body under the covers with just my nose peeking out lol.

I'm 55 yrs old, and I'm still kind of afraid of dark. Isn't that silly. Lol

Get yourself a little flash lite. Use it once in awhile just to reassure yourself.

Don't stress about, quit watching scary shows, that will really help. A lot.

Your not weird, your not crazy, your eyes r just playing tricks with your brain, that's all it is.

Human eyes aren't really made for seeing in the dark anyway.

Your fine, you sound like a sweet kid. Ask your mom for a nite lite.

    I have one. It helps.
