I need a little help with a surprise party invitation for a man who will be 55. How do you eloquently ask for 'gag gifts only'.

    You put "Gag gifts only" on the invite.

    people may feel gag gifts are a waste of money or not appropriate.

    I personally wouldn't ask for gag gifts specifically. if you're invitation has an "over the hill" type comedic theme to it people may get the hint. I would let the guests choose what type of gifts to get.
