Places in Thailand for day cycling or hiking trips?

I am traveling to Thailand next month to see some friends. I have several days for myself and I want to find places where I can go around Thailand that has good for spending the day hiking or cycling.

    Depends on how far you want to go. Chiang Mai is popular for treks and hikes but it is near the top of Thailand. Below is a cycling link for a place near Bangkok.

    For one week you would be busy. Bangkok 2 - 3 days JJ industry, Siam sq., River, Floating industry. Chiang Mai Fly by Nok air Temple on Mountain, previous city faraway from the hustle and bussel. Hua Hin or Pattaya For sea coast scene Taxi one thousand b one way from Bangkok.
