Should Christians behead those who mock Christ?
Jesus Christ has been mocked in many films--Christ is common as a swear word--yet we don't see the fanatical riots and murders that we see daily from Muslims---could it be that Christianity is more mature & tolerant than Islam?

To Watcha doing?
the Crusades did not go out to the holy land to kill jews...it was the muslim arabs army
get your facts right
and its so obvious..that you have an axe to grind with the catholic church
I must point out this...the catholic church was responsible for global christianity..not your church

Remember the middle ages ? Christianity was as violent as Islam back then, but people had some how grown out of it because of Science and the American and French revolutions. Give Muslims some time (About 100 years) and they'll become more tolerant.

Born again Christians are not to condone such as this, and we should speak up against it for it is getting way out of hand, but we know that we do not have to kill those who mock Jesus, and use His name in vain, and say all evil against Him, for He is the living God, and He is able to fight His own battle's and this He is going to do at just the right time.
As far as someone stating that Christians has had their day at doing such as this is just untrue. No born again Christian has ever started a riot or killed in the name of of the living God. The Crusader were sent out in the name of the Catholic Church to kill the Jews, and was told the more Jews they killed the closer to God they would be in heaven. The Catholic church has burned at stake many born again Christians, and imprisoned them for not believing the way the Pope told them to and for reading the Bible. It was not the born again Christians who did all the killing of the Jews and other Christians it was the Catholic Church. From the Foxe's Book of Martyrs by John Foxe - Quote "The Spanish Inquisition of the Catholic Church of Rome was, in its days, one of the most terrible engines of tyranny ever created by man. It may be said to dayte from about the year 1200, when Pope Innocent III sent his inquisitions among the Waldenses and other sects differing from the Catholic Church, and continued until 1808. In its course, it totally crushed any Protestants living in Spain: Its final count numbered 31,912 people burned alive and 291,450 imprisoned. In the eighteen years that the Dominican monk Tomas of Torquemade led the Inquisition, 10,220 people were burned and 97,322 punished with the loss of property or imprisonment. Although its main victims were citizens of Spain, there were others who became its victims, too". End of quote.
This was just a little of what happened to Christians who were not Catholic's and bow to the Pope in Rome, Italy, Spain. etc. This was done in the name of of god, but it was not in name of the living God. We are worship, and obey the living God, not a man. This is like the Muslims. If you do not worship their god and do as their Quran says then you will die. This is the same thing the Pope was telling the people he had burned alive, and put in prison. The living God would not have anyone do such a thing to someone who believed in Him, and what was done was done in the name of the evil one, just as what the Middle East is doing now is being done in the name of the evil one Satan. My God does not need me to defend Him for my God is big God, and if He created the earth and all that is in it, He know how to handle all that is in it, and the day is coming in His time that it He will do so.

It's not that Christianity is "more mature and tolerant" than Islam. It's that Christianity is more secular and laid back now. In fact, many Christians even make fun of their own religion.
& FYI, there haven't been riots and murders every day. Protests have been going on in more than 20 countries attended by thousands, even millions combined, and the majority of the protests have been peaceful.

Islam is still in its violent period. Christianity had theirs several hundred years ago. Islam will grow out of it (not likely within our lifetimes). The major monotheisms seem to follow that pattern. The scary difference is that the muslim world is trapped in 14th century beliefs and actions with access to 21st century weapons.
