Are You Turned Off By Foreign Movies ?
I hate to admit this, but I just recently got turned on by movies in B&W that I would have never considered watching. Not only that, but movies from France, Italy and Japan from the 1930's-1960's. Yup, there are subtitles and no special effects and 'GreenScreen' computer graphics, but the stories and the actors make for an amazing 90 minutes of enjoyment.
Hint: If you want to give this a try, anything from Akira Kurosawa (Japanese/English subtitles) or Jean-Pierre Melville (French/English subtitles)- Try your local Library, they've got a DVD section waiting for you.

Not at all. They definitely have a different take on filmmaking and some people have issues with the subtitles but I love watching them. There have been some I've watched where I even forget I'm watching subtitles, think I'm actually hearing them. They are wonderful actually, quite an experience.

Some I like and some I don't. The version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo that was released in Iceland a few years ago was really good. Pan's Labyrinth was good.

I grew up watching anime and movies on Italian TV stations from which I learned Italian, I'm 34 yrs old now. Then when we got Internet at home I switched to watching anime in their original Japanese language which led to me watching Asian dramas, always with subs, and I'm now a certified Korean-drama-aholic. I've also watched French historical movies and German movies, also Thai, Spanish and Turkish dramas. So as you can see watching foreign movies or dramas is nothing new to me.

No, there are a lot of foreign movies out there that I love like "Pan's Labyrinth" and "Let The Right One In".
