High memory use by Internet Explorer?

Daily my virus control program (AVG Anti-Virus 2013) displays a window saying I'm using up to 200 MB of memory and I should close down Internet Explorer and restart it.

Often when this happens I am not running any other programs and at most may be viewing a video from YouTube. Sometimes its just my email which may be running a advertisement for a short period of time. I can't help but wonder if a virus is working in the background and to that end I run AVG and Super spyware every weekend. So far only cookie type of issues have been found. Any thoughts?

2 things, either your Internet explorer is playing up,(IE is a terrible browser you should use Google Chrome), firstly, download another browser, then de-install Internet Explorer, then use the browser you downloaded from before to download Internet explorer again. If that dosen't work, I think your AVG Anti Virus 2013 has a programming bug in it. Saying your using way too much data when really your not using much at all - this is a coding problem, you might have to re-install or buy another Anti Virus.

    Hope this helps.

Don't worry about spyware or any hacking, this is an internal problem.
