On thursday a british soldier gave birth at camp bastian, afghanistan . She didnt know she was pregnant which was strange but anyway back to the question. Ive been thinking will the child now have duel nationality or because born on a british army base are they only british

Assuming that the father is British, the child is also only British because the mother is serving the British government and its people. A famous example of this is Senator John McCain who was born in Panama of American parents while his father was stationed on a US army base in that country.
