Do any Americans really believe their constitutional rights extend beyond the protection of the US government?
People on Y!A politics keep going on about our 1st amendment rights when talking about the attacks in Libya and Egypt. Why would anyone think our rights apply in foreign, Sovereign nations that have not ratified our constitution?

This attitude/view is rooted in the "manifest destiny" of the American ethos and shows up as "cultural arrogance" and is the main cause of the world wide dislike/hatred of Americans.
It is the same attitude that has the US really believing that they can violate every country's sovereignty when ever it wants and for whatever the reason.

No. I don't think so.
I DO believe that most Americans believe that free speech is a universal HUMAN right... and that without it any form of "democracy" is UTTERLY AND COMPLETELY MEANINGLESS.
I am also pretty sure that every member-nation of the U.N. has accepted this premise as part of their membership (whether they have lived up to it or not.... .THAT is the whole debate).

What rights, we allowed that stuff to be taken away, no we actually voted for those rights to be ommitted ten years ago, see Patriot Act.
We can now fight for freedom in silence.

Gulf warfare ,Afghanistan warfare, Iraq warfare are the final 3 respected wars canada have been in, to no longer point out alot of UN stuff on different international places soil. they do condemn human beings and different international locations. i'm excited by no longer conserving canada, have confidence me in the event that they did no longer have american risk-free practices then a dozen different international places might of knocked em over to raid there organic materials

Some believe that Mexicans take their Mexican rights with them wherever they go.
"Wherever their is a Mexican, there is Mexico". --Felipe Calderon. I'm sure liberals enthusiastically agree.
