God is one and not a trinity. It's not that hard to answer this question. Jesus is God and God is only one.

God is not three separate persons.

    Isaiah 43:10

Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

John 14:28 Jesus quoted: "The father is greater than I." How could the trinity be a real teaching if Jesus himself said that his father is greater? Jesus was God's first creation, and refers to Jesus by saying he is the "firstborn" of all creation.

When Jesus was on earth he made it very obvious that he and his father were not equal. Luke 22:42 states that he did not want his will to be done, but his fathers. How could the trinity exist? Wouldn't all 3 characters in the trinity be in agreement of the "will". Also Jesus said in relation to the time of the judgment of this world: "Concerning that day or hour no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father "( Mark 13:32 ). If God and Jesus were the same, how could it be that one was aware of the issue, and the other not.?

3...its a magic number yeah(sing along lol) but no seriously i guess you can look at it as the Father son and holy ghost equal three aspects of God and understanding that God is the omnipotent allness of the universe. You can also look at it as your ego Id and super ego are all you so the trinity is all God. Christians have argued about this for ages also. Today Oriental,Ethiopian and Coptic Orthodox churches do not preach a doctrine of the Trinity

The Bible never explains the Trinity, but it asserts it in many places. All three were present at and involved in the Creation, the Exodus, our salvation, and most other important events in the Bible. All three dwell within the believer.

We are God’s Temple in 1 Corinthians 3:16. The Holy Spirit is sealed within us in Ephesians 1:13-14. God dwells in Jesus and Jesus dwells in us in John 17:23. Jesus is clearly described as God in the flesh. John said so in his Gospel (John 1:1), Paul said so in Colossians 1:15-20. The writer to the Hebrews said so in Hebrews 1:3, Jesus said so in John 10:30 and John 14:9, and God Himself said so in Hebrews 1:8.  In Revelation 1:8, God said, “I am the Alpha and the Omega” and in Rev. 22:13, Jesus said, “I am the Alpha and the Omega.” The only way this could be true of both is if they are one and the same.

In Hebrew, one of the names for God is Elohim. It’s a plural word and hints at His triune nature. It’s the word translated God in Genesis 1:26, where the triune God is talking to Himself, saying, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness.”

Genesis 1:1 says, “In the beginning God (Elohim) created the Heaven and the Earth. Genesis 1:2 says the Spirit of God (Holy Spirit) hovered over the waters.

John 1:1-3 says “In the beginning was the Word (Jesus), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.” To make it clear he was speaking of Jesus, in John 1:14 he wrote, “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.”

And in Colossians 1:15 Paul said, “He (Jesus) is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.

It’s clear that each member of the Trinity has accepted a different role, and that Jesus and the Holy Spirit submit to the Father’s authority. But I believe they all share the same attributes, since they are all one.

One God in three persons is an essential belief of Christianity. It’s one of those things, like the eternal nature of God, that we cannot fully understand. We can barely understand our own physical world let alone God's spiritual world.

    The trinity, what a crazy mixed up teaching. There are so many scriptures that one can use to dispel the trinity doctrine, but here are a few that are not as common just to consider;

(Zechariah 14:9) . . .In that day Jehovah will prove to be one, and his name one. . .

*********Why would he have to prove to be one, unless there was an ungodly teaching abounding that there was more than one number associated with God?

(Malachi 2:10) . . .one father that all of us have? Is it not one God that has created us? . . .

********The father is identified here as one God************

(Deuteronomy 6:4) “Listen, O Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah

******very clear on him only being God**********

    (Galatians 3:20) . . .God is only one. . .

    ********Again, clear*******

(Isaiah 42:8) . . .“I am Jehovah. That is my name; and to no one else shall I give my own glory. . .

(Isaiah 48:11) . . .how could one let oneself be profaned? And to no one else shall I give my own glory. . .

    *********One again used here*******

(2 John 9) . . .Everyone that pushes ahead and does not remain in the teaching of the Christ does not have God. . .

****The teaching of Christ was that he was God's son, not God.

    (John 10:36) . . .I said, I am God’s Son?

*******was Jesus lying here? why would there need to be a mystery about this? Jesus always told the truth he didn't mask or shroud with mystery who he really was. They accused him of trying to be God, and he corrected them saying he was God's son.***********

(1 John 2:22) . . .Who is the liar if it is not the one that denies that Jesus is the Christ?. . .

*****This does not say the one who denies that Jesus is God*****

(Romans 1:4) . . .was declared God’s Son according to the spirit of holiness by means of resurrection from the dead. . .

    ****Not declared God here*****

The Bible causes much confusion on this point because it contradicts itself. Christians have been trying to fix the mess with answers such as, "It's a spiritual truth that is beyond our ability to understand," which is just a fancy way of saying, "It doesn't make sense . . . deal with it," or, like some denominations, "The trinity is a pagan doctrine that is not of Christ."

The term God means authority, power and essense. Some think it means one person-not true.

God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are all God. Thus, Jesus is the Son.

In the Catholic faith, God (The Father) is only one part of the Trinity. The other two are Jesus (God the Son) and the Holy Ghost (or Holy Spirit).

But the Trinity is also one being, God the Almighty. One common analogy (especially in Ireland) is the shamrock, one plant/stem with three parts/leaves.

So the answer to your question is "Yes".
