You get compliments fairly often on your car. What kind of car is it?

My car is a 2012 Performance White, Premium Mustang V6 with the Pony Package and dual over the top, Silver racing stripes and tinted windows. I have been a car owner for over 34 years. I have owned more than 14 different cars and this is the first time I have ever owned a car and received so many compliments on a regular basis. I have always owned either cheap clunkers or new compact commuter cars and when I was married, a new mini van. When I was 18 years old, I got a few compliments on my 1955 Chevy pickup truck. I got a few compliments from female friends, on my Mitsubishi Eclipse, when it was new, but never from strangers on the street. That is about the extent of car compliments I've received in my lifetime. Since, January of this year I have owned the Mustang and it has been a whole new experience for me. I'm very curious as to which other types of cars prompt people to lean out their windows and say things like: "That's a beautiful car, I like your car, nice car, nice Mustang." I get long looks, head nods and thumbs up fairly often as well. Please give us a general description of your car and list a few of the compliments that you get on a regular basis.

Update:

I'm not bragging about my car or claiming that I did anything personally to the warrant compliments on my car. I'm not asking people to approve of my car. I'm not asking people to critique or criticize my car, using absolutely no punctuation and horrible grammar and making your posts virtually impossible to read. And for the record, yes, they usually know it's a 305 horsepower V6, that will do 1/4 mile in the high 13 second range, which is faster then a lot of classic, iconic V8 muscle cars. And they never seem to care. And yeah, I worked on a ton of cars when I was younger and rebuilt all sorts of things on them. Who cares? My question is not about my car. It's about the models of cars that draw attention. I'm just curious having never owned one before. If you can't answer a simple question, then why bother posting anything?

I drive an old 1967 VW Bug daily and have people give me thumbs up all the time. Look at my avatar, it is all original with some serious "patina". People either love my bug or they stay away from it. Last week, I had an old lady catch up to me on the freeway to tell me she had one when she was younger and she loved mine. It probably happens every other day on my way to and from work.

I have always driven beaters on the daily but I like to keep them unique. Before my bug, I drove a 1974 VW Thing that was painted camo. Same experience. Either they love it or hate it (my wife HATES my old VWs)

Before the Thing, I drove a Toyota Tercell ($200 car) that I cut the top off of and built a roll cage for it. I dont know if people liked the car or my Great Dane that took up the entire back seat.

I also restore classics so I do drive nice cars every once in a while. I built a 55 Chevy Wagon for my wife but she never drives it because she does not like people in general and cant stand the attention it receives. Every once in a while I will pull my 1935 Ford Pick Up out of the garage and take my son for a ride in it. I cant stop without people commenting on it. Once I was pulled over by a cop just because he wanted to check it out and see what I had under the hood.

At the moment I am fixing up a 1952 Studebaker Commander (fugly as can be) and I took it for it's first drive in a long time, 2 weeks ago to a local car show. All the old guys told me stories of their old Studebakers (how crappy of a car they were) and all the old women liked the car

There are car people and then there is everyone else who just doesn't understand the obsession with cars that are different.

Such a giant addition is most likely best price-robust if the house is smaller than most residences in its local, and the addition does now not make this the biggest condo within the regional. It already has 4 bedrooms, but only one bathroom...I feel your first-class wager could be so as to add a bathroom! What is the variety of local? Do a variety of professors, doctors, etc. Reside there? If that is so, you usually tend to do good with the type of assignment you describe. Including a garage would nonetheless be helpful in places which have extreme weather (snowy winters, or totally hot summers). In Georgia, a good-sized tree within the right area is enough, or an arbor or carport is sufficient. You point out both flipping the house and preserving it for 4 years. This is able to be a nasty time to do a flip, but four years possibly a excellent period of time: it all relies on how the true property market recovers. Talk to a contractor about fee...That sort of thing is invariably very location-precise. You may have a tough time matching the brick...I'd advise wood or fiber-cement siding in a suitable colour. You would even do not forget doing the storage as a separate constructing, connected by a breezeway/screened porch. Just right luck.

Ok, you have a new car you decided to fancy up. Understand that I'm not being ugly. Your car, you like it, do as you will. Compliments are always nice. sounds like you worked for and deserve your Mustang. Kudos!

Very diverse what people like and will say anything about. I agree. Some love only new. Some love old. My current 1966 Ford F100 long bed garners it's share of guys going gaga over. Turquoise and white. Original interior. A rumbling quiet 1973 Cadillac 472/switch pitch 67 Olds TH400 set up. Interior back to original. Gals say little over it. Mainly---what IS that? Guys keep wanting to buy it. That's a compliment that makes me smile. Oh--you can't really tell it has the Cad motor. Looks original. Until I open it up. A keeper.

    One other drooler I've had

1968 Ford Galaxie fastback. 390/C6 bucket seats, center console. My beast. Sold it in 2007. Someone finally made an offer I could say YES to. Miss that one.

Never owned new cars. Only because I am a cash and carry guy. Can't pay cash? No buy.

and the point? some guy or gal you never met painted the car. did you do anything besides buy it? buying a car already done is not the same as spending the time it took to make the car look like it does. people recognize the symbol what a shame it has a v6 you should at least fix that so the car sounds as bad *** as it looks make it the whole package anyone can buy a car it takes talent to make it your own. have fund make sre it has a good alarm in it so sosme dipstick does not steal it late one night.I found this out with my charger i bought it as a project later in life it was the only car I ever owned that looked and ran a whole lot better after I owned it. Before that all the 100 dollar cars I ever owned I destroyed while drinking beer and learning to drive. after 17 trashed cars I finally quite drinking and driving which helped me to stop wrecking cars I traded up sevaral times by working hard saving money and buying a nicer car each time and selling the one I already had intil I found thie 440 magnum that needed a new home in my garage and the rest is history I did the things that needed to be done and had a beautiful blood red charger that the cops used to follow around so much I decided to get my drivers license back . the nicer something is the harder it is to keep it safe and sound. I finally sold it and let someone else deal with the isses of keeping a good looking car good looking made my life a lot easier too .

yeah sorry but this whole thing w/ your long-winded "question" about what sounds like a stock/factory V6 and your whole life story, as well as your response to that other guy has a very braggy feel to it.

And to answer your "question" I have a gold/black 1972 Mach 1 w/ a 351C. It took me and my dad 4 years to restore. Is mostly stock w/ exception to a few tweaks to the engine (since the stock 2 barrel 351 only put out 177HP. We bored the cylinders, added high compression pistons, a high performance cam, swapped the stock 2v carb for an edlebrock 4v carb, swapped in 15 inch tires (over the stock 14's) dual exhaust, etc.

And I do get a lot of compliments on it. Not only in shows but just in traffic, just cause it's pretty hard to miss w/ the gold paint (that is the original/stock color BTW), and cause most people don't even know what it is cause you don't see 71-73 mustangs as often as you see others (like 60's mustang or 94+ V6's).

at least richard has something worth bragging about, lol

the 2011+ V6's aren't bad but if it's the stock pony package and all, then it's not that special seeing as how there's millions of them
